Well, it's January 30th time for the TUSAL check in.

Yea Me !!, I actually have threads in my jar thanks to my last post.

Here's my jar and it's little pile of black, yellows, green, brown, and white orts with a few fabric threads that came loose thrown in. Lookin' forward to fillin' the jar this year.

First Stitchin' Finish of the Year !!!

Oh My GOD !!! I have a stitchin' finish.

I joined the 2014 Smalls SAL so this is my January finish.
There's a link on my side bar.

Yes dear cabin fans I have actually been stitchin' for the last two and a half days.

I stayed up until 1:30 am the first night when I started stitchin at 10:30 pm, I was enjoyin' it so much that I didn't even realize what time it was. 

It did take me about an hour to get back into my stitchin' mode, I kept pickin' up the magnifier to make sure all of my stitches were goin' in the same direction.

Found out I'm goin' to need to pick up a pair of reading glasses to stitch with from now on, my magnifier was givin' me fits tryin' to get it in just the right position and such with the light and my prescription glasses are for distance so are of no help at all.

Anyway here are the fruits of my labor.

Stitched on 28ct. Mushroom evenweave from M.C.G. Textiles using DMC threads.

This will be finished into a Scissor Fob. 

I have also designed a Needle Book, Box Topper, Scissor Case, & Pin Cushion to make a complete set.

I've also been goin' through my W.I.P's {I have four of them} to get all of their threads and charts in order, so I can stitch on them from time to time. I am hopin' and prayin' that this is the start of my stitchin' mojo comin' back.

When You Think It's Safe To Go Outside {AKA Snow Rant}

Well, we have been having GREAT weather here in our little neck of woods of Montana. A bit cold on some days and even colder on others, but mostly sunny and in the 40's and 50's for the last week or so, but that all changed suddenly last night.

I was watching the 6:00 pm news last night, windy he said, highs in the upper 40's tomorrow he said, nice and sunny he said, no rain no snow mentioned. It was a LIE !!!!

I went to let the dogs out about 9:00 pm and it had started to SNOW !!

The big blonde dude watched the 10:00 pm weather, lows in the 30's he said, windy he said a chance of snow he said, only about an inch he said. The weather man LIED !!!

This is what my yard looked like at 1:00 am after watching Full Throttle Saloon.

 The back yard. One foot of snow on the dog house.

The front porch and yard.

And it kept up it's craptastic barrage lovely blanketing of snow for the rest of the night.

By the time I woke up in the morning we had another two inches of this crap lovely white snow. 

Snow as far as the eye can see.

Well, at least someone in the family was happy to see all of this snow.

The Monster was ecstatic running around scooping up mouthfuls of snow as he went, even going as far as laying around in it. Of course I can never get a picture of that , he gets up as soon as he hears the door. 

That's the end of my rant.

Maybe it will be the little nudge I need to help me start stitching again.

It's an empty Paula Deen candle jar, I just love it.

Pick your favorite color for the words "heart symbol" (I chose DMC 3842), then pick a color for the large snowflakes "back-stitch, french knot or bead, small dot symbol" (I chose DMC 828) then pick a color for your snow "solid black circle symbol" (I chose B5200).

All stitches use 2 strands of floss.

Finished piece is 45 x 72 stitches (Roughly 3 1/4 x 5 1/8 inches on 14/28 count fabric).
