Small Town Happenings

Hello Dear Friends,
It has been snowing here, again, and will continue for the next couple of days as well as cold, cold, cold. Tomorrows high will be 20F and that will be the warm day for the week.
We were without water for around 8 hours today, I guess a neighbor had a water line break, because the town crew was over there with their little backhoe digging at the front of their yard next to the road.
You would think that since this is a very small town that they would say something to the nearby neighbors, but nope, you just go to get some water or flush and nothing.
Water had leaked and ran down the road and in front of our drive way, the hubs said that all of the tire ruts were full of water. So the hubs will take the Jeep to work tomorrow since we should have nice ice slick out there after it gets down into the single digits tonight. The town crew did come by with their truck with the plow on the front, but I don't know what good it may have done.
I'll be sure to fill some extra jugs for the toilet just in case they do it again tomorrow.

Birdies look so graceful when they are flying along don't they, but let them try to land in the snow and these are the imprints left behind.
Crash landing then walking away.

Another crash landing with wing imprints.

Just the beautiful wing imprint.

They were going after some over ripe grapes I had put out in a dish and some lunch-meat a little past it's prime I had put in another.

I could never catch them out there, every time I went to look they were gone.

Until next post.....

Update On My Sewing Clips

Hello Dear Friends & Followers;
Just been staying warm and doing a bit of designing and stitchin'. There is still snow on the ground, but it's only February so we'll get more.

I bought these on Amazon back in November of last year and thought I'd used them enough since then to form an opinion on them.

These work great and are not to small for me, but if you happen suffer from arthritis they may be a bit to small.
They have a good grip and work well on thinner pieces like just two layers of fabrics and even hold onto pieces that have a couple of layers of cotton batting.

I did have one break and another one that has a crack in the plastic bar at the top. The tin was dented, but since Amazon doesn't use packing material when they ship it was to be excepted and I was able to pop the dents back out.

I would definitely recommend these they are well priced at $9.99 for 100 clips.

Happy Valentines Day

Hello Dear Friends & Followers
I just wanted to wish you all Happy Valentines Day.
May your day be filled with a little love, a little laughter, many warm hugs, and a ton of Chocolate! 💝😍💝

I stitched up this free chart by Loretta Oliver of Stitching the Night Away, but haven't decided if or how I want to finish it. The buttons at the bottom are just a few "what I have on hand" thoughts for the open heart space if I do decide to keep it.

 "February 2011 Valentine"
Stitched on 28 count white evenweave lightly coffee dyed using DMC 115, My very favorite variegated red.

Until next time .......

Goodbye Google+

Hello Dear Friends & Followers:
I just read that Google+ is going away on April 02, 2019.
------------------------------------------------------

From Google+
"In December 2018, we announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers’ expectations."
"On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. You can download and save your content, just make sure to do so before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted."

------------------------------------------------------
So because of this, I'm going to close my Google+ account before the end of the month, so if you only follow me through Google+ and want to keep up with me & my stitchin and free designs, you may want to consider following my blog or following me by e-mail.

TUSAL for February

Welcome to all my Dear Friends & Followers;
We may have missed the Polar Vortex here in our little piece of southern Montana, but we just got a major cold snap that has our highs in the single digits and our lows below zero. Hopefully it will warm back up later in the week like the weather person says it will.

It's time for the February edition of the 2019 TUSAL.
What is the 2019 TUSAL?
Click on the link below to find out.

Here are my ort's from January 7th to February 4th.

Not a lot of stitching got done, I was more focused on doing some more designing.

Well, that's all for this post, so until next time.....

Take Care & Happy Stitchin'
