A Father's Day Design

I lost my father back in 1990 so I won't be stitching this one myself, but there are still a lot of great father's out there that this design could be stitched for. 

If you do happen to stitch this design or any of the other designs I have posted I would love to see a picture of the stitched piece.

I GOT TULIPS !!!!

Oh My GOD!! I have blooming Tulips in my front yard planter!!!

OK, I know, their just flowers for goodness sake, But if you only knew how many years in a row the deer have used them as an all you can eat buffet, you'd be excited to.

The big guy finally got around-to-it and bought some deer spray that worked like a charm.

It's called "Deer Off" by Havahart and it deters Deer, Squirrel, and Rabbits. 

Here they are getting ready to bloom.

Here they are in all their blooming glory.

A happy bunch of Grape Hyacinth. Their just so darn cute.

I know, look at all the weeding that needs to be done. You see I made a deal with the big guy years back, that if I took care of the inside of the house and he'd take care of the out side 1/2 acre. Well that doesn't really work out all the time, so I'll be pulling weeds again this year, at least he always mows, weed wack's and sprays.

A Mother's Day Gift to Stitch

Mother's Day is on May 11th. 

So I've designed a quick to stitch gift for that special woman in your life who you call Mother.

I added the hearts, but you could replace them with initials or a date, it's up to you.

All are designed by me. Using 28 count evenweave and DMC threads.

I have the Biscornu stitched together but need to find buttons for it.

TUSAL for April 29th 2014

OK, OK, I'm a day late this month and I'm blaming it on the big guy, since he took Thursday and Friday off along with his regular Saturday and Sunday, so it got my dates off a bit. 

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

So, without further delay here is my TUSAL for April 29th.

 Here they are in all their colorful messed up glory.

The messed up part is also the fault of the big guy, he had a sudden urge last week to fiddle with my ORT jar for some reason and had to pull them out of the jar and then plunk them back in and shake up the jar, as I tried to grab it away from him. He thought it quite funny, while I on the other hand was not amused in the least and actually yelled at him, leave my threads alone, don't shake those up, and that I needed to take a picture of them. He, of course,  just looked at me like I was nuts and shook the jar again before I grabed it away from him, while he just laughed at me. "So glad I could amuse you for a bit" I say as I put the jar farther away from him.

TUSAL Update For March 30th

I almost forgot about this, it's time for my TUSAL update.

I've added another jar to the update for my DMC wrappers, it won't be in every update just when I've add several extra wrappers.

 

Here is my TUSAL ORT jar. lots more black, yellow, brown & green threads from two more pieces for my "Bee Sunny" collection and of course the snips from the Shamrock biscornu.

Here is my pint Ball bail jar just for the DMC wrappers, it has 8 skeins worth in it so far.

It's been raining here for most of the day, but all that changed about an hour ago to my most favorite fluffy white crap from the heavens. {And yes, that last bit was typed with all the sarcasticness I could muster up.}
