Here is my latest pin pillow finish, it also has the honor of being my first piece using silk threads. BIG mistake on my part, because I just adored using them and now I want more. Oh well, maybe some day.
This is the front.
Design: Quaker Heart (Freebie from Piecemakers) I changed the design around quite a bit again.
Stitched on 28ct. white linen from Zweigart using Caron Waterlilies in Pistachio Nut and Kreinik Silk Mori.
This wil be sent to my Mama for Mother's Day along with a pillow that I'm working on.
I'm close to finishing two other pieces and will post photos when I'm done.
I just want to thank all of you for the wonderful comments that you leave for me, they mean so very much and keep me stitching.
Take Care Everyone & Happy Stitching To All
Hugs .... Sandy

Sandy-that's just BEEutiful :) Congratulations :)
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice and I like the colors you chose! I don't like working with silk myself. I have a tendancy to catch the fine little fibers on rough spots and my hands and they keep getting yanked out of the needle. Regular floss doesne't seem to do that nearly as much. I think your mom will really like the little heart.Again , nice job!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful, Sandy - great job!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. The subtle palette of silk threads are just gorgeous.
