Thought I'd share some morning beauty with everyone.
This was my view when I opened the curtains at 7:25 this morning.
Such a beautiful Sunrise.
Of course this is the part I don't love so much.
This is what happens when it rains before the temps drop at night, melted the snow on the road then froze it right up. I'm pretty sure it's thick enough to skate on.
This is the road out in front of the cabin. Since the sun is so much weaker during this time of year and because of trees this section gets very little sun during the day, so will stay pretty much like this for months.
We'll be buying a couple bags of ice melter just for the area around the vehicles this weekend for sure.
Until next time .......

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous sunrise, Sandy! The snow is lovely, but the ice and icy road is not. Be careful out there!
ReplyDeleteWow! Be careful walking, driving, etc.

ReplyDeleteWe have ice here also, very scary.
Take care if you go out.

We've got some of that here in VT too, although there was a couple hours of sun today, which should help the roads, if nothing else. Great sunrise shot!
ReplyDeleteSandy, your weather, I believe, is much like ours in Illinois. I live downstate from Chicago, at least a 3 hour drive. We're in the deep freeze again here, and we'll have a few not-so-cold days, then the temp drops down once again. I think it's supposed to drop down at the first of next week, so in the deep freeze is getting to be a nasty trick this winter when we think it's getting better. We have had just patches of ice so far but live in a small city of 19,000 and no great expanses of solid ice, but the sand and salt get spread by city trucks at night. But I know how it is to live outside city limits with all iced over. Best stay home. -1 degree tonight. {{{Burrr}}}
